The new SSC started the year with its brand new logo and hashtags #SSCEizeTheDay and #SetonStrongerConnected. When asked about the idea behind the rebrand, SSC Chancellor, Juliana Naval, says:
听 听 听 听 The thought was simple. We鈥檙e done with the adjustment period, and we鈥檒l now take every opportunity to give back to the Seton community.
听 听 听 听 听The goal stays the same. Serve by creating programs that would benefit Setonians, and be able to carry out all prospected plans this year while staying true to the organization鈥檚 vision and mission.听
With the new wave comes new trends. This is what we should look forward to starting this school year starting with the SSC鈥檚 new members.听
听 听 听 听 Unity in Diversity. In the same interview with Juliana, she pointed out the impact that diversity brought into the council. 鈥淲eights are lifted off of one another and you can really feel that everyone is willing to help and always at their best. They鈥檙e good with what they鈥檙e assigned.鈥 This year鈥檚 pool is right in the middle, both equally having 16 students from Junior High School and Senior High School. While there is not much of an age difference nor any gaps to fill, the newly entered half has got something to offer: their fresh ideas. Plus, teamwork makes the dream work. The number of members and their individual abilities combined just works wonders.听
听 听 听 听 听What鈥檚 next? Well, for Julia, 鈥渨e鈥檙e always improving.鈥 There is still a lot to give and to work on, but the SSC has got its eyes on the prize, and that is performing duties for the student body, making programs, giving, and seizing opportunities. It doesn鈥檛 end there, though; the organization strives to go beyond Setonian grounds and offer help to outside beneficiaries through their outreach programs.
It has been nearly two years since the world stopped and coerced the world into life-changing adjustments – the SSC bids goodbye to its beginnings and welcomes learning, leading, and serving as it is. They will continue to function and vow to ceaselessly progress鈥 now taking every opportunity to give back, seizing the day, and making the best out of everything.听
